On last night’s episode we read and talked about the first day if the seventh month![]()
it was to be a memorial, some say in remembrance of God coming down on Sinai, it was a serious matter and treated with reverence.![]()
We as gentiles do not celebrate Hebrew holidays, but it would be beneficial for each of us to set a day, to meditate in memorial of when Jesus came down and dies for our sins, and when we accepted him a saviour.![]()
A spiritual memorial day if you will.
This Weekends Episode is on the 16th, Which in the Jewish/Hebrew calendar is the first day of the month Tishrei(their seventh month)![]()
We will be looking at the modern Jewish holiday Rosh Hashana, but more importantly the Biblical Hebrew holiday that falls on the same. Here are some reference verses from the episode.![]()

Lev 23:23-27 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, ![]()
Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. ![]()
Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD. ![]()
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,![]()
Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD. ![]()

Num 29:1-6 And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing the trumpets unto you. ![]()
And ye shall offer a burnt offering for a sweet savour unto the LORD; one young bullock, one ram, and seven lambs of the first year without blemish: ![]()
And their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals for a bullock, and two tenth deals for a ram, ![]()
And one tenth deal for one lamb, throughout the seven lambs: ![]()
And one kid of the goats for a sin offering, to make an atonement for you: ![]()
Beside the burnt offering of the month, and his meat offering, and the daily burnt offering, and his meat offering, and their drink offerings, according unto their manner, for a sweet savour, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD.
